PMC Guild Welcomes a New Executive Director
CeCe Wire announced last week the appointment of Jeanette Landenwitch to succeed her as Executive Director of the PMC Guild, starting in January 2005. Jeanette has been working in PMC for five years, and was certified in 2000. She is known for her work in enamels, and currently teaches classes in PMC and in enamels at Thompson Enamels. Jeanette received a BA in Interior Design from Mount St. Josephs College and has worked in design, textiles, and as a seamstress.
Jeanette's name will be familiar to many in the PMC community for several reasons. She has written several articles for the Guild's magazine, and won first prize in the Artisan Center of Virginia show in 2003. In the summer of 2002 Jeanette published a book called "Creating with Precious Metal Clay."
In addition to the administrative skills needed to run her own business, Jeanette's experience includes a two-year stint as President of Artisans United, Inc. based in Annandale, Virginia. Jeanette lives outside of her hometown of Cincinnati with husband, David. They have two grown sons.
January marks the fifth anniversary of CeCe's tenure as Executive Director. She leaves to pursue her studio work, perhaps work on another book, and to continue teaching, her first love. Don't expect CeCe to disappear from the PMC Guild. She will help Jeanette during the transfer and continue to be a dynamic force in our community.
